The Lady Eagles won their first game of the year with a 5-3 decision over Cincinnati Christian.

Lauren Piatt put in a hat trick in the first half to give the Eagles a 3-0 halftime lead. Piatt led Marissa Lykins nicely on a ball through the CCS defense and Lykins put it in the net for her first goal of the year.

Hannah Sponsel led the Eagle defense and also made several nice runs up the field for several shots on goal, Sponsel scored one of MCS goals on a penalty kick. Another near goal by Lykins and a near goal by Hannah Pohl highlighted the 28 shot attack on the CCS keeper. The Eagle goalie, Judah Davis had another great game defending the goal, with 13 saves. MCS is back in action Tuesday evening at home against DC at 5:00.
